Your photos stay on your device
Choosing photos, arranging them, finding faces and making your file all happen in your browser. Your photos are not uploaded to us. To let you come back to a collage, your browser keeps your photos and design in its own storage on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes them.
The optional email copy
If you tick "email me a copy", the finished collage (which contains your photos) is sent from your device through our server to our email provider, Resend, and on to your inbox. We do not store it: it is deleted from our systems as soon as it is sent. Our email provider may keep delivery records for a short time.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. We receive your email address, the amount and an order number, which we keep for our accounting records (six years, as UK law requires). Stripe emails your receipt.
How we measure the site
We use two tools to understand how people find and use BigCollage. Neither sets cookies or stores anything on your device, and neither ever sees your photos.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits: pages viewed, the site you came from, country and device type.
- PostHog (hosted in the EU) records which steps people take, such as how many photos were added, the style chosen and whether checkout was completed. Session recording is switched off and no page content or photos are captured.
With your payment we also keep the page you arrived on, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link, plus your optional answer to "Who is it for?", so we can see which channels and occasions matter.
What we do not do
No accounts, no marketing emails, no advertising or tracking cookies, and no session recordings.
Other services this site uses
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when the page loads. The site is hosted by Vercel.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
